Primeval TV Show

Well the new season of Primeval is about to begin. So let me give you a little sneak peak into what the season is going to be about. Well the season will be a lot more hi-tech to start with. The creator has introduced a lot of sci-fi into the show. The series which was originally scheduled to have only seven episodes has now been expanded to have a total of ten episodes. Also new cast members are to be introduced which include Jason Flemying, Laila Rouass and Ben Mansfield. Jason will be playing the role of a policeman who is drawn into the mystery due to his brother’s death. Laila will be playing the sexy Egyptologist and Ben will be donning the cap of the team’s bodyguard.

As for the telecast date of the season, I am sorry to disappoint you as there is no information regarding that as yet.

I know it has been an awfully long wait since the end of the second season. Now with the premiere of the third season being shifted to next year it is becoming an unbearable wait for the all of us.

I just miss the excitement and suspense of the show. My kid sister used to watch the show just because she loved to see the huge dinosaurs. She is as anxious for the show to return as you and me. So let’s hope. I am also dying to know what happened to Helen after she mysteriously disappeared as well as whether the team was able to correct the anomalies of time or not. Oh, this suspense just drawing me crazy so please bring on the show as soon as possible.

It’s pretty good news that, the season three of “Primeval” is coming back. But hey it’s really unfair that no date has yet been announced. I just know that it’s coming up in 2009. I have no idea whether it will happen in the beginning of the year or in the middle. Oh Please! Don’t stretch ahead of that. It has already been eight months and count the next two as well. Ten months are more than enough for the filming of ten episodes. I can bear hardly one more month of 2009. Come on! If this is gonna take this long, then I’ll prefer to watch Jurassic Park one more time.

Hey but it’s pretty difficult to avoid this series. I really miss those dinos, I mean dinosaurs. Those forests, that adventure, that rat race with time can’t be found any where else. The series is like the expansion of the Jurrasic Park movie. In fact it carries many more attractions comparatively. I liked Cutter’s wife’s time traveling a lot. What a creative idea man! A person goes to explore into the existence of dinosaurs and suddenly reached back in time from a forest. She keeps roaming into different times through out the seasons. It won’t be wrong calling it a fast track series, things go so swiftly here. The creatures in the series have always fascinated me. I know the creative team has done lot of hard work on these. Once, its making was shown on discovery channel. They shown there, all the fine tacts, which are adopted to bring a real look to the creatures of the other world. That’s why; the scenes carrying these species are so lively and natural that you can hardly notice any artificiality.

My favorite place to watch its episodes is here. I have watched the second season twice. The more and more times I watch, it raises my expectations from the third season. Here’s enough time ahead in third season’s arrival, so meanwhile let’s enjoy the existing two seasons here.

The third season of the series is scheduled to be aired in January, 2009. As the first and the second season of the series had six and seven episodes, the third season will be a bit longer with ten episodes. Fans of the series are all enthusiastic about the third season and they can’t wait for the series to get started. Don’t know if they are excited to see the storyline move ahead or not, but they are definitely excited to see what kind of creatures they will get to see on the show in this season.

The series will have the same star cast as that of in season one and two. With Douglas Henshall, in his serious role as Cutter and his team consisting of Hannah Spearritt as Abby, James Murray as Stephen, Andrew-Lee Potts as Connor and Jenny Lewis as Jennifer.

After the show has been well received, in Britain, it has also been broadcasted in America, from 9^th august, 2008 on BBC America. The show has already been popular in America with the masses and the critics. The series is full of entertainment for all the kids who just can’t get their head off the dinosaurs. The series with Cutter and his team, who fight the anomalies to save the human race, is just as exciting and thrilling to be watched by the elders too.

In all the series has already got the publicity that was required for a new show, because of its success in Britain. But still how well the series with the strange creatures both prehistoric and futuristic, on one side and expert scientists on the other, will manage to do in this new country is still a question and we will have to wait for the response.

The series in its first perception was considered to be a show for the kids. But once you start watching the show, it is definitely for the grown ups too as the concept of the series is well imagined and thought of. The fans have described the series as mystifying, fascinating and realistic too. The series in general have risen up to the expectations of the viewers as it has surprised the viewers with its excellent storyline. Above all they find the show enjoyable and entertaining and they are too excited for the next season.

Not only the general audiences, but the show has also clicked the critics. Critics were of the view that the series have had probably the best special effects on British television. They are of the view that the series is closer to reality and that one can relate to it. The critics somehow felt that the cast of the show was not as promising as the show.

As the series has been a success, and that it has been pretty popular among children. The production took the decision of manufacturing toys, for making the series a bit more popular. These toys will consist of the main characters of the show and a few creatures like Rex, Dodo, Arachnids and Future Predator that have appeared on the show.

Another landmark for the producers of the series has been that they have published a sticker and a poster book for children. Also four “Primeval” paperback books are under publication under the names A Rip in Time, Dangerous Dimension, The Lost Predator and Fight for Survival. A number of original novels have also been announced, with the same subject.

Here is a list of all the creatures that appeared on the Primeval. Some of them were from the past, whereas some have been created especially for the show. Some of the animals they were able to encounter, while there were others which kept returning in other parts of the series.

In the first episode of season 1, the scientists had to encounter these four strange kinds of creatures. Ammonite a marine creature, whom they were successfully able to encounter. The next was Gorgonopsid, some kind of a mammal; whom they were also able to encounter. The third is Sarcopterygii, a pre historic fish, which they also killed and the fourth one they encountered and killed was Scutosaurus.

In the second episode the brave fighters had to encounter two strange animals. One was Arthropleura, which were killed by the team and the Giant spider, which they were unable to kill and they returned later in the series.
