Currently staring as the main lead in Primeval, Henshall never wanted to be an actor till he was seventeen. His interest in acting grew when he attended Mount view Theatre School at London, where he was also appreciated for his theatre work. It was then that he returned to Glasgow and joined a theatre company.
While working in theatre, he also tried his hand at acting on big and small screen. One of his most winning film roles was his role in the movie “Angels and Insects”, including his other roles in the movies like “The Man with Rain in his Shoes” and “The Lawless Heart”. His television works include his roles in series like “Psycho” for which he is very famous in U.K. He is also very active in theatre. His most recent theatre works include his work in “The Coast of Utopia”.Personally he is a big fan of football with St. Miren football club being his favorite.
